Health in Mongolia

Come Together

All of our 2022 tours include our Come Together program of enhanced health and cleanliness protocols.

Blue Silk Travel asks all travelers to be fully vaccinated against coronavirus before arrival in Mongolia.

Mongolia does not require COVID-19 testing to enter the country. However, your home country and the countries through which you will transit may require COVID-19 testing and/or vaccinations.

All travelers on Blue Silk Travel tours should complete their coronavirus vaccinations well in advance of their travel to Mongolia.

Other Vaccines

U.S. travelers should visit the CDC's Mongolia page for information on recommended vaccines and tips on preparing for a safe trip. Travelers from other countries should consult the recomendations by public health agencies in their home countries. We recommend discussing the CDC recommendations with your primary care physician to determine which, if any, vaccines are appropriate for you.

Medical Treatment

Blue Silk Travel enrolls all of its travelers in emergency medical evacuation coverage for up to $200,000.

Mongolia has a state-run, national health care system, as well as numerous private hospitals, including a Joint Commission International-accredited hospital in Ulaanbaatar. However, U.S.-quality care is generally unavailable outside of the capital city.
