Health in Mongolia

Medical Treatment and Prevention

All of our 2024 tours include our Come Together program of enhanced health and cleanliness protocols.

Blue Silk Travel enrolls all of its travelers in emergency medical evacuation coverage for up to $200,000. Mongolia has a state-run, national health care system, as well as numerous private hospitals, including a Joint Commission International-accredited hospital in Ulaanbaatar. However, U.S.-quality care is generally unavailable outside of the capital city.

Vaccinations

U.S. travelers should visit the CDC's Mongolia page for information on recommended vaccines and tips on preparing for a safe trip. Travelers from other countries should consult the recomendations by public health agencies in their home countries. We recommend discussing the CDC recommendations with your primary care physician to determine which, if any, vaccines are appropriate for you.

Blue Silk Travel highly recommends that travelers be up-to-date on their COVID-19 vaccines before arrival in Mongolia.
