The Naadam horse races are underway! From July 10 to 13 each year, Mongolian children gather on the steppe at Hui Doloon Hudag outside Ulaanbaatar for the horse races of the 2025 Naadam Festival. Across the country, Mongolians will gather outside of towns and villages for horse races at local Naadam celebrations, as well. Horses race long-distance over the steppe, ridden by seven to thirteen year-old child jockeys.
